Research Grid (R.grid) is an early-stage start-up that uses machine learning to streamline administrative medical research processes. We have two web-app products called R.grid for clinical trial management and Inclusive for community engagement. Our technology includes a high-volume automated document population, real-time qualitative data collection, intelligent reports and analyses, and communication and recruitment support.
We are young, ambitious, and changing how clinical research administration is managed with disruptive solutions to historical bottlenecks in research efficiency. We are a small but growing team of data scientists, engineers and business professionals passionate about improving the clinical research landscape and helping researchers remove arduous, time-consuming, manual processes from their workflows.
About the Role
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our growing team to ensure our platform is the easy-to-use, aesthetically pleasing product our customers expect. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of human-computer interaction design and be capable of coming up with elegant solutions to improve the R.grid and Inclusive platforms.
You will work closely with the Head of Engineering and Head of Business Operations and Compliance to ensure all technical and business requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Build and expand the current UX/UI design
- Plan and manage new UX design
- Collaborate with the engineering team and commercial dev team
- Lead UX/UI development of all front-end activities
- Ensure data quality and integrity
- Gather and evaluate user requirements
- Interpret and analyze problems and find a user-friendly solution
- Conceive, plan, and prioritize UX/UI tasks
- Help the team to visualize the data, reports, and product, for a variety of purposes
- Experiment with new methods, technologies, and applications
- Align data projects with organizational goals
- Support with additive graphic support, UX-based videos, etc.
Qualifications
- BSc (minimum 2:1) in design, computer science or relevant field
- Demonstrable experience as a UI/UX designer
- Portfolio of UI/UX design projects
- Strong knowledge of design software and principles
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Strong English proficiency, both spoken and written, and be able to communicate with an English-speaking team clearly.
Desirable
- Experience in a start-up company
- Experience and familiarity in a STEM company
- Experience and familiarity with machine learning
