Location: Remote
Salary: ₹70,000 per month (₹8.4 LPA), plus a ₹60,000 year-end bonus, totaling ₹9 LPA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the backend functionalities of our dynamic social platform using Node.js.
- Design secure and robust sign-up/login processes, integrating with Google OAuth.
- Manage user profile functionalities that support following, friend requests, and user reports.
- Create and oversee a comprehensive book database, ensuring effective data handling and retrieval using PostgreSQL and Sequelize ORM.
- Craft and maintain APIs for user reviews, discussions, and custom bookshelves, supporting interactions like sorting, rating, and commenting.
- Implement caching mechanisms with Redis to enhance platform performance.
- Ensure scalability and high concurrency across all platform features for a global audience.
- Collaborate with front-end developers for seamless API compatibility and end-to-end system integration.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, implementing security and data protection.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of backend development experience, with a strong focus on Node.js.
- Proficient in RESTful API development and server-side logic.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Sequelize ORM.
- Experience with caching mechanisms, preferably Redis.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) for API integration.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and its quirks.
- Skilled in user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
- Familiar with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Capability to design and implement effective data storage and retrieval solutions.
