As a Senior Shopify Developer at our dynamic development team in Gurgaon, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom Shopify themes, apps, and integrations. Your key responsibilities include:
– Leading the development, customization, and maintenance of Shopify stores, themes (Liquid), and apps.
– Developing responsive and engaging user interfaces using HTML, CSS (SCSS/Sass), JavaScript (ES6+), and modern front-end frameworks.
– Designing and building custom Shopify applications using Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or other relevant backend technologies, integrating with Shopify APIs.
– Optimizing Shopify store performance, page load times, and overall user experience.
– Ensuring high code quality, maintainability, and adherence to Shopify development best practices and coding standards.
– Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to Shopify themes, apps, and integrations.
– Working closely with project managers, designers, and clients to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
– Mentoring junior developers, providing technical guidance, and contributing to the team’s knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
– Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation for developed solutions.
Qualifications required for this role include:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
– 5+ years of professional experience in web development, with a significant focus on Shopify platform development.
– Extensive experience with Shopify’s Liquid templating language.
– Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
– Proven experience with Shopify APIs (Storefront API, Admin API) and webhooks.
– Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
– Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
– Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
