Key Responsibilities:
– Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for Shopify themes and customizations following best practices and Shopify’s guidelines.
– Collaborate with designers, product managers, and senior developers to develop and maintain e-commerce features and functionalities.
– Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve overall code quality and development practices.
– Write and maintain tests to ensure the reliability and performance of Shopify stores, identifying and resolving bugs and performance issues.
– Create and manage reusable components and custom sections within Shopify themes to streamline development and ensure consistency.
– Integrate front-end components with Shopify’s backend services by working with cross-functional teams, including backend developers and designers.
– Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation to support ongoing development and knowledge sharing.
– Stay updated with the latest technologies, frameworks, and methodologies relevant to Shopify development, including new Shopify features and best practices.
Qualifications Required:
– 1 to 2.6 years of experience in front-end development, focusing on Shopify.
– Proficiency in Shopify’s Liquid templating language and a solid understanding of Shopify’s best practices and conventions.
– Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
– Experience in customizing Shopify themes, working with Shopify’s APIs, and app integrations.
– Proficient in using version control systems, particularly Git.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to debug and optimize front-end code.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration in a team environment.
