The Role
Testbook is looking for an experienced, data driven, and detail-oriented SEO Manager. The primary focus of this role will be to develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy that aligns with our business goals. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure our website and content are optimised for search engines, leading to increased organic traffic.
Responsible for
• Create and execute an SEO plan for the assigned categories to maximise traffic from the organic channel.
• Producing and managing SEO-optimised content for landing pages alongside SEO and content marketing teams.
• Conducting keyword research with SEO tools to plan & prioritise content calendar.
• Implementing the wider SEO strategy for Testbook to drive organic traffic.
• Understanding our potential new customers, and helping to target their wants, needs, and interests through our content.
• Identifying and establishing valuable link-building opportunities and partnerships to boost our domain authority and search engine rankings.
• Defining clear SEO Goals, KPIs, and timelines.
• Create and maintain SEO performance dashboards to provide visibility on Goals & KPIs.
• Proofreading the content and making sure our content follows SEO, legal, and brand guidelines.
• Review and analyse analytics and site traffic to gauge positive and negative changes.
• Conduct SEO audits, collect and analyse data, identify trends and insights on search engine algorithms.
• Collaborate with the Content writing team for keyword research and provide instructions on the usage of keywords in the content.
• Suggest recommendations to optimise the content and define the structure of different types of content.
• Research, analyse, and benchmark against competitor performance.
• Managing SEO Executives and Interns.
What You’ll Need
Must Have:
• Proven 4+ years of experience in website/web page SEO optimization for Google search.
• Fluency in English.
• Hand-on experience with driving SEO initiatives for large websites.
• Expert in all areas of SEO including strong technical skills (HTML, site architecture, and content management systems).
• Understanding of search engine ranking factors, algorithms, site architectures, and strategies.
• Ability to anticipate or quickly react to the ever-changing landscape of search algorithms by staying on top of current search engine news, trends, practices, and social triggers.
• Strong analytical skills with understanding of web analytics and the ability to derive meaningful insights for the creation of organic search strategies.
• Have solid understanding of industry tools such as Search Console, Sistrix, Ahrefs, SEMRush and Screaming Frog.
• Familiarity with various Google APIs like Google Search Console API, GA4 API.
Brownie Points If You Also Have:
• Experience with News SEO, Google Publisher Center, or Edtech.
• Strong understanding and experience of vernacular SEO.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python or Bigquery.
• AMP/PWA experience is a big plus.
