TELUS Digital is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced security solutions that protect the organization’s digital assets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network and application security, risk management, and cloud security architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, manage incidents, and ensure compliance with global security standards.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage enterprise-grade cybersecurity strategies and frameworks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis
- Monitor security alerts, respond to incidents, and perform forensic investigations
- Design and deploy security solutions for networks, endpoints, and cloud infrastructures
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, and other regulatory frameworks
- Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline
- Lead internal security training and awareness programs
- Continuously evaluate and improve security tools, systems, and protocols
🛠️ Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer, Security Analyst, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and zero-trust architecture
- Familiarity with ethical hacking, incident response, and threat modeling
- Understanding of encryption protocols, authentication systems, and secure coding practices
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ (preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
