Overview

Jobgether is hiring a Mobile Engineer (Remote – India) on behalf of a partner company. In this role, you’ll join a distributed global engineering team responsible for building a high-quality mobile experience used worldwide for critical HR and payroll workflows. You’ll work on a hybrid mobile application combining React Native and web-based components, collaborating closely with product, design, frontend, and backend teams. This position offers strong technical ownership, scalability challenges, and full remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance mobile applications using React Native
• Collaborate with product, design, frontend, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences
• Develop and enhance hybrid app flows using native and embedded web components
• Own features end-to-end, from technical design to production release
• Implement modern state management solutions for consistent data flow
• Integrate mobile applications with Node.js-based backend APIs
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Ensure high code quality through testing and best engineering practices
• Stay up to date with mobile development trends and propose technical improvements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React and React Native
• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern state management patterns
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store
• Solid understanding of WebView behavior and native-to-web communication
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture and best practices
• Experience with unit testing using React Native Testing Library and Vitest
• Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Detox
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
• Comfortable working with remote, cross-functional teams
• Bonus: Experience with Swift, Java, OTA updates
