Role Overview
GE HealthCare’s Chief Data & Analytics Office drives innovation through data, advanced analytics, and AI. Our Enterprise AI team delivers high-impact Machine Learning (ML), AI, and GenAI solutions across the organization by combining deep technical excellence with agile execution.
As a Senior Staff Data Scientist, you will lead the development of simulation, optimization, and digital twin solutions that generate actionable insights across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, Quality, and Finance functions. This role requires strong expertise in forecasting, operations research, and ML engineering, with a clear focus on translating complex models into measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Simulation & Optimization Leadership
- Design and implement advanced digital twin models to enhance decision-making across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial domains
- Apply probabilistic simulation, stochastic optimization, and forecasting methodologies to solve complex business problems
Business Collaboration & Value Delivery
- Partner closely with Supply Chain and business leaders to identify needs and deliver fit-for-purpose forecasting solutions
- Align modeling efforts with strategic objectives to drive risk mitigation, opportunity identification, and planning excellence
Technical Standards & Implementation
- Establish optimization standards, tools, and best practices for model development and deployment
- Ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions across enterprise platforms
MLOps & ML Engineering
- Collaborate with MLOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, retraining, and lifecycle management
- Optimize ML models for performance, reliability, and production readiness
System Integration
- Integrate forecasting and optimization models with enterprise systems for a holistic view of business performance
- Partner with IT and engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability
Thought Leadership & Innovation
- Stay current with advancements in operations research, AI, ML, and GenAI
- Identify new opportunities to apply advanced analytics across GE HealthCare
- Influence senior leaders on the strategic use of data science and AI
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience
- PhD with 2+ years of experience
(Fields: Statistics, AI, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related)
Core Technical Expertise
- Advanced forecasting methods including:
- Time-series forecasting
- Probabilistic simulation
- Financial modeling
- Stochastic optimization
- Programming & Platforms:
- Python (advanced)
- AWS & Azure
- R, SQL, Spark
- TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
MLOps & Engineering
- Proven experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ML models in production
- Strong collaboration skills with MLOps Centers of Excellence
Industry & Business Acumen
- Understanding of analytics applications within Healthcare, MedTech, Pharma, or Biotech industries
- Ability to translate technical results into executive-level insights and recommendations
Professional Skills
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven success working in cross-functional, global, matrixed teams
- Willingness to travel for internal and external business engagements

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $136,000 – $204,000 (U.S. roles only)
- Performance-based incentives (bonus and/or long-term incentives)
