Job Summary
Join our team as a WordPress Developer to play a pivotal role in designing and implementing visually appealing and functional websites. As a WordPress Developer, you are responsible for both back-end and front-end development, encompassing the integration of WordPress themes and plugins, site architecture design, and security updates. You will possess a keen eye for aesthetics, in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, you can craft user-friendly websites that align seamlessly with the company’s design and functionality requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct and attend meetings with the content team to collaboratively discuss website design and functionality.
- Design and develop the front-end of websites, ensuring an attractive and intuitive user experience.
- Create and manage the back-end of websites, overseeing database and server integration for optimal performance.
- Generate WordPress themes and plugins to enhance website features and functionality.
- Conduct thorough website performance tests and troubleshoot content-related issues.
- Provide WordPress training if necessary to empower internal teams with the knowledge to manage content effectively.
- Monitor the ongoing performance of live websites, implementing updates and improvements as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 1 year of proven work experience as a WordPress Developer, showcasing successful website development projects.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies, including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Preferably familiar with code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
- Experience using debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Solid understanding of website architecture and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts effectively.
- Project Management skills with the ability to effectively oversee and complete tasks within deadlines.
Schedule Requirements:
- Ability to work night shifts during Eastern Time, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
