Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services primarily using Django and FastAPI.
- Build and manage RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
- Ensure efficient database design, write optimized queries, and manage migrations.
- Work closely with frontend engineers to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
- Collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in client meetings and effectively communicate technical trade-offs, risks, and progress.
- Communicate blockers and solutions clearly across teams and stakeholders.
- Use GitHub for version control, branching, and collaboration.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve system performance and reliability.
- Contribute to improving deployment and scaling processes, primarily on Azure.
Must Have Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of backend development experience with strong Python expertise.
- Deep proficiency in Django (MVT framework) and working knowledge of FastAPI.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and server-side programming.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Databases, Storage).
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design and ERD diagram creation.
- Proficiency in Redis for caching, queuing, and session storage.
- Familiarity with Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI for API testing and documentation.
- Experience with Docker for containerization and deployments.
- Strong grasp of database design principles and optimization.
- Proficiency with GitHub workflows (branching, pull requests, reviews).
- Implement and manage user authentication, authorization, and session management.
- Experience with SSO integrations (Okta, Azure AD) and ability to work with calendar integrations, email automation, and Twilio-based communications.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a client-facing environment.
Good to Have Skills
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React + Vite and Next.js.
- Exposure to Azure services
- Knowledge of performance optimization and monitoring tools.
- Experience with API Gateway or message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Ability to mentor and guide freshers and interns.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven applications.
- Understanding of Generative AI tools and techniques.
