Senior Software Engineer – Backend
As a Backend developer for a game development team you would be part of a small passionate team building a mobile AAA game. In addition to standard backend development work, you will get a unique opportunity to try interesting technologies like game networking, voice chat etc.
What you’ll do:
- Microservices for cross cutting functionality like user management , game currency management
- Deployment architecture of game backend and UDP based voice chat system
- A small but scalable data platform analytics
What you’ll will bring:
Well, apart from a few cookies every day, it’d be great if you come with these
- 2 – 5 years of experience
- Expertise on any one of Java/Golang
- Decent proficiency on C++
- Ability to learn other languages like NodeJS and Java
- Strong problem-solving abilities to identify simple solutions to complex problems
- Exposure to TCP/UDP socket programming and underlying concepts
- Good understanding of the concepts of distributed computing and multithreading
- Good knowledge of DB and Cache technologies (We use MySQL, Redis, Cassandra, Neo4j, MongoDB, Aerospike)
- Good knowledge of message brokers (We use Kafka)
- Exposue to AWS
