Job Title : Chapter Leader
Asset Management Technology is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the Engineering Chapter for Fidelity Digital Asset Management (FDAM) technology teams in India. This individual will partner very closely with various business and the global technology teams, in addition to the broader Asset management technology teams to deliver a best in class product supporting the FDAM business
The Expertise We are Looking For
- Be Collaborative: Work in partnership with the business users, AM Architecture and Engineering teams to design and build end-to-end solutions for the Fidelity Digital Asset Management (FDAM) technology teams
- Be Strategic: Partner with other key team members (and other AM teams) to provide strategic direction to execute the multi-year product roadmap
- Influence Others: In partnership with the Chapter Leads leads in Boston, Ireland, and India, help advance and support product, delivery and technical practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing within your team and across the organization
- Lead the team: As a Chapter Lead for several Squads, help manage the priorities and provide technical expertise, direction and engineering excellence for the Squad. Act as a single point of accountability for the Engineering practices and ensure appropriate governance is in place
- Inspire Others: Demonstrate a deep passion for software engineering, digital asset management domain in specific, asset management domain in general and create an ability to tap into the expertise of the engineering team. Passion to drive innovation at work which contributes to business value through scale and efficiency, business growth and/or investment performance
The Skills You Bring
- Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise grade distributed application using Java/J2EE technologies. Knowhow of PL/SQL will be handy, experience with AWS Cloud will be an advantage
- Ability to triage and manage business impact due production issue
- Understands and applies fundamental design principles behind a scalable, low latency, high throughput distributed application
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns and their application
- Champions’ best practices for various aspects of engineering excellence and a promotes DevOps mindset
- Relevant experience with Cloud computing and emerging technologies like Blockchain, DLT will be an advantage
- You should have relevant experience working with Agile teams and a thorough understanding of SCRUM @ Scale principles
- You should have the effective influencing and communication skills to lead a high performing technology team. Comfortable working with cross-functional team members and promotes the notion of full stack engineers
- You should have demonstrated ability to lead from front, motivate and empower your team to deliver the best
- You should possess prior experience collaborating with offshore technology and business partners
