Alvarez & Marsal is looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to strengthen its digital risk management and data protection initiatives. The role involves assessing, designing, and implementing security controls, managing vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with global security standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT, compliance, and business teams to mitigate cyber threats and enhance the organization’s overall security posture.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor information security policies and procedures
- Identify potential security risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat analysis
- Respond to and manage cybersecurity incidents efficiently
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and SOC 2
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into daily operations
- Maintain updated knowledge of emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and defense technologies
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for audits and risk assessments
🛠️ Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, IT risk management, or information security roles
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, IDS/IPS systems, and cloud security tools
- Understanding of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
