Key Responsibilities:
– Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 6-10 full-stack engineers proficient in MERN stack.
– Drive performance management, team development, and career progression within the team.
– Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and QA to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
– Own the architecture, design, and implementation of core fintech product modules utilizing MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
– Review and enforce coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and software quality best practices.
– Ensure system scalability, security, performance, and efficient delivery of tech solutions based on business requirements.
– Proactively identify risks and bottlenecks, implementing necessary improvements.
– Work closely with leadership on technology strategy and product roadmaps, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous learning.
Qualifications Required:
– 8+ years of software development experience, with a minimum of 3+ years in team leadership roles.
– Proven track record of working in product-based fintech companies.
– Deep hands-on experience in MERN stack technologies (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
– Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure), REST APIs, microservices, Docker, and container orchestration.
– Exposure to security best practices in fintech, such as data encryption and secure authentication flows.
– Proficiency in debugging, optimization, and analytical skills.
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
– Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with a strong sense of product ownership.
To Have:
– Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL, or WebSockets.
– Exposure to DevOps practices and observability tools.
