Overview
As a Front End Developer Intern, you will play a crucial role in implementing visual and interactive elements that users engage with on websites and applications. You will work closely with the design and backend development teams to build responsive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with designers and backend developers to implement and optimize user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Develop and maintain responsive web design for various devices
- Test and debug front-end applications for usability and accessibility
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design elements
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and standards
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving front-end issues
- Contribute to the overall user experience through thoughtful front-end solutions
- Document code and technical specifications
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Familiarity with front-end development frameworks such as React
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS
- Knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Strong understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
