Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Internship-Backend. The internship backend will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend systems, handling database management tasks, testing and debugging code, and contributing to software design and architecture.
This internship is a 6-month internship with a competitive stipend.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop backend systems and APIs that support our platform.
- Architect, implement and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using modern technologies and best practices.
- Optimise backend performance and reliability to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Work closely with frontend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services.
- Write clean, well-documented code and conduct thorough testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Pursuing or Completing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Tier 1 colleges and proven Internship experience in at least 2 companies.
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of past projects.
- Proficiency in the backend programming language Java.
- Knowledge of backend frameworks like Java, Python, Django, Flask, Spring Boot, or Express.js is appreciated.
- Understanding of database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure is appreciated.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
