Java Backend Engineer (US Shift)
Shift: Night Shift (US Central Time) 6.30 pm to 3.30 am (IST)
Experience: 2-3 years
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled backend Engineer with a strong background in Java backend development and 2-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java development, specifically with Spring Boot, SQL, Kafka, and API integrations. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to work on a night shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide technical support for backend systems developed using Java and Spring Boot.
– Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
-Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, including software bugs, configuration issues
– Work with Customer support team and resolve issues
– Debug/Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party services.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
– Troubleshoot, debug and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.
– Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve development practices.
Qualifications:
– 2-3 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
– Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
– Proficiency in SQL and NOSQL database design/management.
– Experience with Kafka for data streaming and messaging.
– Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
– Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail and analytical skills.
– Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
– Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
– Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
– Knowledge of microservices architecture.
– Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
