Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join their Business Intelligence team as an Intern. You will work closely with senior analysts and business stakeholders to extract, clean, analyze, and visualize data, supporting key business decisions. Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering data from various internal and external sources.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business objectives.
- Support the creation of reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools.
- Help in documenting data sources, methodologies, and analysis processes.
- Collaborate with team members on data-related projects and tasks.
- Learn and apply business intelligence tools and techniques.
- Assist in testing and validating data outputs and reports.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
- Gain exposure to different business functions and understand how data supports their operations.
- Prepare summaries of findings for review by senior analysts.
- Develop a foundational understanding of data warehousing concepts and SQL.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic understanding of data analysis principles and statistical concepts.
- Familiarity with Excel and a desire to learn BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a data-driven environment.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Strong organizational skills.
