Job Title: Manager, Learning & Development
Location: Bangalore
The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the training and development initiatives within Diversified and reports directly to the Director of Learning and Development. Manages a team of 5 focusing on identifying training needs, designing, and delivering training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Training Needs Assessment:Â Conduct needs assessments to identify training and development needs within the organization. Work with stakeholders to determine skill gaps, performance improvement areas, and training priorities
- Training Program Development:Â Develop and implement comprehensive training programs and initiatives that address identified needs. Design and deliver training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, instructor-led sessions, and training manuals
- Training Delivery and Facilitation:Â Deliver training sessions to employees, managers, and other stakeholders. Use various training delivery methods, such as classroom training, virtual training, workshops, and on-the-job training, to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development
- Training Evaluation and Effectiveness:Â Develop and administer training evaluation methods, such as surveys, assessments, and feedback mechanisms, to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Analyze evaluation data to assess program impact and make recommendations for program improvements
- Talent Development Programs:Â Assist in the design and management of talent development programs, including leadership development, career development, and succession planning initiatives. Collaborate with HR business partners and managers to identify high-potential employees and create development plans
- Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:Â Oversee Cornerstone, the administration of the learning management system, including course creation, enrollment management, and tracking of training completion and compliance. Ensure the LMS is user-friendly, and content is up-to-date and aligned with training needs
- External Training Partnerships:Â Collaborate with external training providers, consultants, and educational institutions to leverage external expertise and resources. Identify and manage relationships with external vendors for training program delivery
- Training Budget and Resource Management:Â Assist in the management of the training budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources. Source and evaluate training vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage training-related expenses
- Process Improvement and Standardization:Â Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and standardization within the training and development function. Streamline and enhance training processes, procedures, and workflows to increase efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction
- Vendor Management:Â Manage relationships with external training service providers. Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements
- HR Data and Analytics:Â Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improving training and development program delivery. Develop and provide HR metrics, analytics, and reports to support decision-making and enhance training effectiveness
- Project Manager Onboarding and Training Program:Â Manage and maintain the project manager onboarding and training program. Regularly evaluate and update the program as required. Coordinate schedules and program participation for new hires

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
7+ years experience in training and development roles, preferably with experience in program design, development, and facilitation.
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Ability to lead a team through collaboration and create a high energy work environment
Proficiency in conducting training needs assessments and translating them into effective training programs.
Ability to identify performance gaps, assess learning objectives, and align training initiatives with organizational goals
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to engage participants, deliver engaging training sessions, and adapt training delivery methods to different learning styles and audience needs
Experience in designing and implementing training evaluation strategies, including the use of surveys, assessments, and other evaluation tools. Ability to analyze evaluation data and provide recommendations for program improvement
Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms. Ability to administer and leverage LMS functionalities for training program management and tracking
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, build relationships, and collaborate with HR partners, managers, and external training providers
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proficiency in analyzing HR data, generating insights, and preparing reports and metrics. Ability to use HR analytics to inform decision-making, identify trends, and drive training program improvements
Familiarity with change management principles and methodologies
Experience managing relationships with training service providers and negotiating contracts Ability to assess vendor capabilities, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
