Key Responsibilities:
– Design and Implement SSAS Cubes: Architect, develop, and optimize OLAP cubes for reporting and analytics using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), focusing on performance tuning, security, and usability.
– Advanced Data Modeling: Develop complex data models within SSAS, ensuring they are scalable and optimized for reporting efficiency. Employ best practices in dimensional modeling (star and snowflake schemas) to deliver high-performing datasets.
– Power BI Integration: Design Power BI reports with complex visualizations, integrating SSAS cubes and custom SQL queries for enhanced data insights. Implement advanced DAX calculations and Power Query transformations.
– ETL and Data Processing: Design, implement, and optimize ETL processes to populate SSAS models from heterogeneous data sources, ensuring data integrity, validation, and consistency.
– Performance Optimization: Apply advanced query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and caching techniques to optimize both SSAS cubes and SQL queries for fast, responsive reporting.
– Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Qualifications:
– Extensive experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
– Proficient in building and optimizing SSAS multidimensional models, including cube design, MDX, and query optimization.
– Expertise in Power BI with advanced DAX, Power Query, and report optimization techniques.
– Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and performance tuning techniques.
– Hands-on experience with large-scale, enterprise-level data architectures.
– Solid knowledge of advanced SQL query writing and optimization strategies.
