Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based applications and software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Fix bugs and improve application performance
- Write efficient, reusable, and testable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
- Participate in code reviews, contributing to software quality and standards
- Stay updated with industry trends and contribute ideas for project improvements
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Develop software related to asset management, performance measurement, and risk management
- Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
- Assist in software design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Solid understanding of Python programming language
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming
- Experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Understanding of code versioning tools (Git)
- Capability to write efficient, clean, and reusable code
- Understanding of server-side templating languages
- Basic understanding of accessibility and security compliance
- Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Exposure to fundametal SQL theory
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
