Job Summary:
As an iOS Product Engineer at Rapido, you will work on some of the core mobility features in the Customer iOS Mobile app. You will get to work first-hand with the latest mobile technologies and solve the challenges of scale, performance, security, and cost optimization. Your efforts will directly ensure our users get quality service and a seamless experience. Most importantly, what you do every day will have an impact on millions of people using our app. Our iOS app is setting a benchmark with 4.8 ratings and 1M reviews on the App Store.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and build applications for the iOS platform
Closely collaborate with product, design, and business teams to understand product ideas and business needs and help deliver them
Continuously improve code base ensuring optimal performance of the app to meet our quality guidelines
Developing high-performance components while driving the adoption of best practices by writing reusable, and efficient code.
Work with 3rd party data sources and APIs to be integrated into our iOS app
Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, rectifying bugs, and enhancing application performance
Job Requirements:
B.Tech. / B.E. degree in Computer Science or equivalent software engineering degree/experience
Must have extensive hands-on experiencing designing and building mobile applications on iOS
At least 2 years of experience in iOS development with excellent programming skills in SWIFT and expertise in XCode
Good understanding of application lifecycle
Knowledge of asynchronous and Multithreading patterns.
Knowledge of software practices like refactoring, clean code, domain-driven design, Encapsulation, etc
Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
Experience working with iOS framework such as Core-Data and Swift UI
Experience of writing unit test cases
Strong computer science fundamentals databases, OOP, data structures, algorithms.
Must have excellent programming, debugging and scripting skills with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles.
Experienced building fluid and custom interfaces that work on a variety of screens.
Hands-on experience with application performance monitoring
Strong sense of ownership and passion for crafting delightful user experiences
Passion for learning new things and solving challenging problems
