As a Java Backend Developer, you will play an instrumental role in designing, developing and enhancing back-end code for a Web portal. You will leverage your expertise to create responsive, high-performance applications, while also integrating tools to automate and optimize development tasks.
Responsibilities
Back-End Development:
- Build and maintain server-side functionality using Java/Spring.
- Design and optimize database structures using SQL.
AWS Deployment (Basic Level):
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS EC2.
- Integrate and maintain S3 for storage and RDS for databases.
Collaboration & Best Practices:
- Work in a remote setup with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and QA.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- Document development processes for streamlined knowledge sharing.
Required Technical Skills
Back-End:
- Professional experience with Java and Spring framework
Database:
- Strong proficiency with SQL (designing, querying, and optimizing)
AWS:
- Basic knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) for application deployment and management
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- Previous work experience in a startup is a plus.
- Experience in Frontend technologies like HTML, CSS or backend tech like PHP is a plus.
Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, proactive, and comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
