Role Description
This is a freelance remote role for a Scala Developer. The Scala Developer will be responsible for developing scalable and high-performance systems and applications using Scala programming language, integrating them with back-end services, managing data exchange, and automating the entire software development process.
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in software development with Scala and Java technologies
- Proficient in functional programming paradigm and object-oriented programming concepts
- Expertise with Akka, Play Framework, and other Scala toolkits
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
- Knowledge of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and software architecture principles
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
- Expertise with development tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins, etc.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
