Responsibilities
This job involves
- Participate in business requirements and functional requirements gathering of custom solutions for Cognizant’s proprietary healthcare software system FACETS and related Cognizant’s proprietary healthcare suite of software. Lead the analysis of requirements to deliver solution alternatives, to-be design flows and detailed design artifacts by using process/solution/product knowledge.
- Develop proposals by owning parts of the proposal document, give inputs based on secondary research, and Cognizant’s case studies, give inputs in FACETS solution design in areas of expertise, conduct Solution/ product demonstration and POC/ proof of technology workshops, and prepare effort estimates to deliver a win-win proposal for medium complexity projects.
- Create functional specification document and technical specification document for custom software development related with Cognizant’s proprietary healthcare software system FACETS based on the business requirements using proven FACETS custom code implementation workflow created by Cognizant’s project lead/ manager.
- Implement Facets custom interfaces and Facets custom extensions using best SDLC practice methods of Cognizant’s Healthcare Product Consulting organization. Create custom software to work along Cognizant’s proprietary healthcare software system FACETS.
- Deploy cutover plan, guide the resolution of data migration issues, coordinate with/ guide team for a smooth go-live. Plan and conduct relevant cutover planning, training, knowledge sharing, and best practice demo to ensure Cognizant’s best practices are maintained.
- Perform unit testing using industry standard practice and support Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Support postproduction activities.
- Provide support to remediate the custom software related with Cognizant’s proprietary healthcare software system FACETS during upgrades. Perform remediation of Facets custom interfaces and Facets custom extensions to be compatible with Facets Core product.
- Attend project team meetings to provide status updates and discuss software change requests. Attend Cognizant project team meetings to learn about change requests and/ or modifications to customized software solutions and identify reusable code that can be utilized during implementation of Facets custom solutions.
- Mentor junior and new team members. Mentoring and providing training to the new and/or junior members joining the team.
- Supervise a small team of five to eight team members. Overseeing, reviewing assignments, assessing work, and providing feedback to these team members.
- For the medium/high complexity FACETS projects, review system appreciation documents, support in knowledge transfer methodology and capability building.
- Support the resolution of escalated issues, review test plans/cases/reports, conduct root-cause analysis and take corrective actions.
- Train the end users/key users and prepare training material for a smooth transition to the new system/process on a need basis.
- Track the profitability across multiple FACETS engagement(s), plans corrective actions when necessary, drive cost optimization on the engagement.
- For small projects/ existing clients, provide suggestions on problem statement articulation based on client discussions, articulate to internal stakeholders, define and document the problem and provide inputs for high-level solution creation.
- For medium/large-sized engagements, provide support in problem definition and documentation.
- For medium/high complexity projects, lead the evolution of possible solution alternatives that factor in gap resolution considering impact on related functional areas, user acceptability, technical feasibility and efficiency.

- Technical Skills: .Net Core, C#, Angular, MS SQL Server, SOAP UI, XML, JSON, SQL Programming, SSIS/SSRS, API/Web services/Restful Services, PowerBI, DataBridge, KAFKA, GITHUB, Jenkins, JIRA
- Functional/Domain Skills: US Healthcare, Facets, HIPAA Gateway, EDI Transactions
- Hands on experience with Agile methodology
- Good Written and Verbal communication skills
- Experience with onshore-offshore model. Experience with working in a virtual team environment.
