Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer with a strong background in designing for ecommerce platforms. This role involves creating wireframes, high-fidelity designs in Figma, and developing a comprehensive component library tailored for Next.js environments.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Design wireframes, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Create and maintain a component library compatible with Next.js, ensuring consistency and reusability across the platform.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance the usability and appeal of the platform.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, specifically with a focus on ecommerce platforms.
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or other visual design and wire-framing tools.
- Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with technical teams.
- Previous experience in developing design systems or component libraries for web applications is highly desirable.
