Key Responsibilities :
– Develop, maintain, and optimize custom Shopify backend features using Liquid, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
– Customize and extend Shopify Checkout using Checkout UI Extensions.
– Work with Shopify REST and GraphQL Admin APIs to power integrations and backend logic.
– Develop and maintain Shopify private/custom apps, including integrations with third-party tools.
– Implement and configure popular Shopify apps like Recharge, Search & Discovery, shipping solutions, payment gateways, and
more.
– Customize existing Shopify themes to add new features or modify store functionality as per business needs.
– Work on Shopify migration projects, ensuring data integrity and functionality throughout the process.
– Set up and troubleshoot shipping rates, zones, and carrier-calculated services, as well as payment gateways and transaction workflows.
– Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to streamline development and problem-solving.
– Collaborate with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, project managers, and QA engineers for smooth project execution.
Required Skills & Experience:
– 3+ years of hands-on experience in Shopify backend development.
– Strong understanding of Liquid templating, JavaScript, and JSON.
– Proficient in Shopify Checkout Extensions and backend workflows.
– Experience working with Shopify REST API and GraphQL Admin API.
– Hands-on experience integrating and customizing Shopify apps like Recharge, Search & Discovery, Klaviyo, and shipping/payment apps.
– Strong knowledge of Shopify Webhooks and asynchronous processing.
– Experience with Shopify theme customization, including adding new sections, blocks, and logic.
– Solid understanding of shipping setup, zones, rules, carrier rates, and payment provider configurations.
– Practical experience with Shopify store migrations from platforms like WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or Magento.
– Familiarity with using AI tools to boost development productivity.
– Good understanding of version control (Git), deployment workflows, and testing.

– Experience working in a fast-paced agency or multi-project environment.
– Understanding of eCommerce performance optimization and secure development practices.
