Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Shopify Developer with strong proficiency in both backend and frontend development.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience creating and customizing Shopify themes and applications, with a solid understanding of Shopify’s backend capabilities and frontend technologies.
Responsibilities :
– Develop custom Shopify themes and applications, ensuring high-quality, scalable code
– Implement Shopify Plus features and functionalities for enterprise-level clients
– Customize and extend Shopify’s backend functionalities using Shopify’s APIs and GraphQL
– Collaborate closely with designers to implement responsive and pixel-perfect designs
– Optimize Shopify websites for performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
– Integrate third-party services and APIs to extend Shopify’s core functionalities
– Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Shopify themes, applications, and integrations
– Stay updated with Shopify platform updates, industry trends, and best practices
– Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed
Requirements :
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
– 3 to 5 years of experience as a Shopify Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating both backend and frontend Shopify projects
– Proficiency in Shopify theme development and customization using Shopify Liquid
– Strong knowledge of Shopify’s backend APIs and GraphQL
– Experience with frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Effective communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
– Experience with version control systems (e., Git)
– Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques
Good to have :
– Shopify certification(s) such as Shopify Developer or Shopify Plus Developer
– Understanding of UX design principles and best practices
– Previous experience in an agency or e-commerce environment
– Familiarity with headless CMS platforms and other headless e-commerce solutions.
– Shopify Hydrogen development experience with examples of successful implementations
