About the Role
We’re seeking a technically-minded UI/UX Designer who can bridge the gap between design, development, and business objectives. The ideal candidate will specialize in design systems and component libraries while maintaining a strong focus on user experience and business goals.Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain a comprehensive design system, including design tokens, components, and documentation
- Create and manage component libraries that align with development frameworks and business needs
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes using industry-standard tools like Figma and Balsamiq
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure smooth implementation of design components
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
- Translate business requirements into user-centered design solutions
- Document design patterns and maintain design system guidelines
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-4 years of experience in UI/UX design with a focus on design systems
- Strong portfolio demonstrating systematic design thinking and component-based approaches
- Expertise in Figma and other prototyping tools (e.g., Balsamiq)
- Deep understanding of design tokens and their implementation in modern design systems
- Experience creating and maintaining component libraries(must have)
- Knowledge of front-end development principles and limitations
- Proven track record of conducting user research and applying findings to design decisions
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript strong fundamentals (must have)
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.) (must have)
- Experience with version control systems (Git) (must have)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
- Understanding of responsive design principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
- Experience with design system tools (e.g., Storybook, Style Dictionary)
- Understanding of state management and component architecture
- Previous experience collaborating with agile development teams
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to balance user needs with business objectives
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving design challenges
