Nodwin Gaming and Star Sports have recently announced season 2 of the BGMI Master Series. The tournament is set to start on August 4 and features the largest prize pool ever offered by BGMI Esports, which is INR 2.1 crore. The highly anticipated event is expected to be a LAN event in which twenty-four BGMI teams compete against each other on the battlefields to be the best and win most of the enormous prize pool.
The last campaign of Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series was taken in the hands of Global Esports by the barest of margins. The teams showed the most intense BGMI games throughout the competition, which brought in a massive audience. The second season of the BGMI Masters Series is expected to have similar results, with fans pumped to watch the event. Nodwin Gaming and Star Sports have revealed the complete details of the event.
BGMI Master Series Season 2 Complete Format
The second season of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) is just around the corner and will begin on August 4. The tournament will last for 22 days and will end on August 27. Here is the complete schedule for Season 2 of the BGMS season 2. 2:
- League Stage
Start Week (August 4-6): The 24 teams (14 invited plus the 10 qualifying teams) will be divided into three sections. The opening week of BGMS Season 2 includes three games per day, meaning that each team will have six games to participate in. The points earned from the groups during the matches the week before will be added to the overall standings in the league phase during the event.
League Stage Week 1 (August 7 – August 8): The BGMS Season 2 Week 1 League Stage will feature the same 24 teams, but they will be split into three categories based on how they performed during the opening week of games. All groups will be required to play eight games in round-robin form. The teams in the top 16 of all standings in the league will play during Super Weekend 1.
Super Weekend 1 (August 11-13, August 13): The top 16 teams of the League stage compete against one another during Super Weekend 1. Each team will be playing nine matches over three days. The points earned through Super Weekend 1 will be added to the overall standings of the League Stage. The four teams with the most issues from the week of launch and Super Weekend 1 will be seeded directly into Super Weekend 2. The best four teams will also play in the Week 2 League matches.
League Stage 2 (August 14-17, August 17): The second week of the BGMS S2 league stage will feature the 24 participating teams. The most successful four teams in Week 1 already have made it into Super Weekend 2; this means that only the teams with the highest score from Week 2 will be allowed to play in the super weekend match.
Super Weekend 2 (August 18-20, August 20): The top 16 teams, including the top 4 teams of Week 1 and 12 teams from League Stage Week 2, will play one another in 9 games that will last for three days. The overall standings following Super Weekend 2 will include points from the launch week and Super Weekend 1 and 2. The teams with the highest scores will get to the grand finals of this tournament. Teams between 5-20 on the total standings would play in the playoffs for the game, and the teams in the bottom four will be eliminated.
- Playoffs (August 22 to August 23)
The 16 teams ranging from 5 to 20, will compete in an average of six games. From that, the teams with the highest standings progress to the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series Season 2 finals. - Grand Finals (August 25 – August 27)
The top 12 teams from the playoffs will face the best four teams of the league stage in the final game in the BGMI Masters Series 2023. Teams will compete against each other in the fierce BGMI action for three days, with the highest-scoring table being declared the event’s winner.
