Desired Candidate Profile
This position involves supporting Large Scale advertisers who use Adwords to manage/run high revenue campaigns. The Adwords Optimization Analyst will be required to support the APAC / EMEA Account Managers (AMs) and Campaign Managers (CM), coordinate, analyze and optimize campaigns to achieve client KPIs. Additionally the Optimization Analyst will be the main point of contact for CM by coordinating clientele reporting needs with the various other groups involved to manage client campaigns effectively (to achieve client spend and performance targets).
Responsibilities
Assist in the monitoring and optimization of keywords, bids, account daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important account metrics/ KPIs.
Manage and maintain updates for large keyword lists.
Provide creative copy suggestions and graphical ad templates.
Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, display network, and other facets of paid search in accordance with client goals.
Support the generation new paid search campaigns, ad groups, and accounts and aid in the creation of new paid search marketing initiatives.
Generate weekly and monthly client reporting for all major metrics, goals tracking, revenue tracking, and other paid search initiatives.
Keep pace with search engine and PPC industry trends and developments.
Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards, reports and key reporting tools, and point out key areas of importance in accordance client goals.
Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels.
Communication to team and management on project development, timelines, and results.
Work closely with the other team members to meet client goals.
Execution and Productivity
Works with Campaign Managers as required or independently if needed to develop appropriate campaign strategies to help clients achieve their goals
Adjusts working style to meet the needs of specific CM / AMs and clients.
Correctly interprets media plan and I/O to guide and audit IO/Line Item set up by Trafficking team prior to launching campaigns or after specific adjustments have been made.
Monitors campaign pacing and analyzes campaign performance on a regular (daily/intra day) basis to determine adherence to budget and performance goals.
Develops data-driven analysis and campaign optimization recommendations to drive performance to meet or exceed campaign goal(s).
Provides guidance and consultative platform utilization expertise to CMs and/or clients to drive additional budget allocation from clients by meeting spend expectations, beating campaign goals and identifying additional growth opportunities.
Barring external factors, monitor and optimize campaigns effectively to make the performance on par or better MoM.
Effectively act as a partner with the CM to drive performance for clients, show ownership in helping drive Client delight with a solution mindset as against task mindset.
Communication
Diligently documents campaign optimization recommendations (using tracking and notes docs) to ensure that clarity on the current and past state of campaign is available to all stakeholders at any given point in time (and recurrence of any negatively impactful changes is avoided).
Effectively communicates campaign progress and performance against budget and performance goals to relevant stakeholders on periodic basis using simple, clear and concise language.
Sets appropriate expectations for all deliverables and alerts CMs if any deliverables are going to be delayed.
Provide decision enabling insights in addition to or along with data along with the ability to use graphical methods and tools to present numbers and trends to tell a compelling story.
Demonstrates comfort using email, chat client (GChat or other) and Google Hangouts.
Demonstrates solid English pronunciation and projects confidence when speaking
Requirements
2 – 8 years of client-facing experience in account management, customer support and/or display advertising, SEM/PPC Adwords.
Exposure to and experience of having worked for global clients and a good understanding of cross-cultural context and international brands.
Strong understanding of Adwords , online advertising (display and/or search) and 3rd party advertising concepts.
Familiarity with other ad-serving platforms such as YouTube for advertising.
High degree of MS Excel proficiency (including advanced features such as Functions and Pivot Tables)
Proven ability to become expert in new technologies in a short time frame.
Strong communication skills with a proactive and positive approach to tasks.
Objective and analytical approach to decision making
Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Flexible to work in night shifts.
