One of the most prestigious teams worldwide, Saturday’s team, is the only one to which shirt number 10 has yet to be awarded.
The final stand. After 20 years of playing for the Brazilian national team, Brazilian National team Marta piled many victims across the globe. Of the 46 nations she played, 43 suffered losing at the very least against Brazil, with Brazil being the top team on the field, including the world champions Germany, Norway and the United States.
There is an extensive selection of victims not included in Marta’s “album of victims”, and it’s France which is the opponent this Saturday in two rounds of Group F and the one responsible for the demise of Brazil at the end of round 16 at the final Women’s World Cup that took place in the year 2019.

The two other teams not beaten by Marta were Great Britain (1-0 defeat at the London 2012 Olympics) and Finland (0-0 in the 2022 Tournament of France). They were the only two teams to go facing each other Marta during these games.
Pia believes that Brazil is in a position to finish the writing of France: “We have a great chance.”
Brazil Captain Rafaelle says that facing France “is always very difficult.”
The game is against France. However, it is also a part of the long-standing tradition of women’s football in France, and the squandered opportunities are weighing. Brazil and France have played 11 times in the last 20 years, with Les Bleues winning six and drawing five.
Marta is aware of this rivalry as other players. The Queen was a part of Seven of the eleven games, as did French player Wendie Renard. Only French attacker Eugenie Le Sommer was in the top spot, who played eight games. Three players are the three who share the power of matches: two goals each.
This Brazilian star was playing on the field at 17 during the first match between Brazil and France on September 27, 2003. She is the sole player in the current squad of both teams that played in the game, which was played in three rounds of the inaugural World Cup played by Marta and her team in the United States. The draw was 1-1, and an assist from Katia Cilene of Brazil and Brazil secured Brazil the first spot within Group B. France was eliminated third in the bracket.
If you think about it collectively, winning this time is optional. After Panama’s 4-0 defeat in the first round, Brazil reaches the second round as the sole leading team in Group F with just three points, while France is looking to rebound after having a 0-0 draw against Jamaica. It is more concerning for the French than Brazil if they draw on Saturday.
A Brazilian win, however, can guarantee not just early qualification for round 16 but also the ending of Marta’s writing. In the Queen’s final dance during the World Cups, Brazil will have the last opportunity to present its number 10 shirt as the missing person from its list of victims. Like every eagerly-awaited piece that is released, this one will possess a distinct taste.
