Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.3 years of experience in networking technologies.Experience with fiber types and their application, physical fiber characteristics, and standard testing tools (e.g., OSA, BERT, OTDR).
Preferred qualifications:- Experience in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (i.e., DWDM), routing topology, and architecture.Experience in either Optical or IP network operations.Knowledge of basic scripting/programming (e.g., Python/Apps Script/SQL).Understanding of networking and fundamentals of network troubleshooting at both Layer 1 and Layer 3.Ability to participate in shift work in a network operations center environment.Excellent troubleshooting skills of DWDM and Routing systems.

Responsibilities- Plan, design, and execute turn up of optical systems.Lead optical deployments to manage capacity delivery on the existing network.Be a technical expert for the new product introduction program.Respond to network outages by providing a diagnosis of Layer 1 to Layer 3 network errors, and initiate and complete network repairs.Use workflows and systems to diagnose optical Layer 1 and Layer 3 network issues to completion.
